Service & Outreach

Outreach at St. Margaret’s is a natural extension of the faith life of our community. We offer a wide range of opportunities as diverse in their manifestations as the people of God who come together in our pews each Sunday. Whatever your talent, whatever your calling, join with us as we seek to live out the Gospel outside our doors. There are many ways to practice being a people of justice, hope and love.
Charlie’s Place
Charlie’s Place is an outreach ministry of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, providing not only a hot breakfast Tuesday through Friday mornings from 6:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., but also supportive services for our participants.
Local Outreach
In addition to our core Charlie’s Place ministry and long-standing Rummage Sale and Maggie’s Cabaret programs, St. Margaret’s reaches out to the Dupont Circle and greater Washington, D.C. areas in a number of ways.
Greater Outreach
St. Margaret’s and its parishioners aim to help their brothers and sisters in need around the world – including supporting a medical clinic in the small town of Proteccion, Honduras.
Rummage Sale
Each year, on the last Saturday in October, St. Margaret’s welcomes the community for a sale of donated items including clothing, accessories, jewelry, housewares and much more. All sale proceeds support the ministries of St. Margaret’s.
Maggie’s Cabaret
For nearly 15 years, Maggie’s Cabaret has entertained audiences with professional cabaret performances held in St. Margaret’s Parish Hall, and benefiting our ministries.
