The children and youth of St. Margaret’s are integral members of our community. A significant number of our parishioners are families with children who choose St. Margaret’s over churches closer to home because they value the diversity, inclusiveness, and welcome embodiment of Christ found here. Children and youth are involved in all aspects of our worship and our church life, participating, for example, not only in Sunday School but in church ministries, outreach initiatives, and as acolytes and lectors.
St. Margaret’s Nursery for children three and younger is open every Sunday during services. The children are under the loving and careful care of our professional childcare providers, who have many years of experience caring for children of all ages. When you arrive at the Church, ask the ushers to direct you to the nursery.
St. Margaret’s wishes to embrace all of God’s children. If your child has special needs, whether physical, developmental, or emotional, he or she is welcome at worship and at Sunday School. Contact our clergy for help determining what supports are available and how best to ensure that your child will have a positive experience.
Each year, St. Margaret’s presents the story of the Nativity with the participation of the children and youth of the parish. The story is recreated in dramatic (and highly creative!) form with the help of adults, and it is a cherished part of the Christmas Season at St. Margaret’s.
