The Diocese of Washington comprises 45,000 people in 88 congregations, and the heart of its life and ministry is found in those congregations, as well as in its Episcopal schools, service ministries, and most importantly, in the lives of its members. The Diocese comprises four Maryland counties – Montgomery, Prince George’s, Charles and St. Mary’s – as well as the District of Columbia.
Episcopal Relief & Development works with Church partners and other local organizations to save lives and transform communities worldwide. It rebuilds after disasters and empowers people to create lasting solutions that fight poverty, hunger and disease. Working in close to 40 countries, its programs impact the lives of approximately 3 million people around the world.
Dignity/Washington is a community of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Catholics and other Christians, families and friends. It provides a healing outreach to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Catholics and other people by affirming that they are beloved Children of God. Dignity/Washington celebrates Mass at St. Margaret’s every Sunday at 6 p.m.
