If you would like to speak to a priest about a pastoral concern, please contact the Priest-in-Charge, the Rev. Richard Mosson Weinberg, to make an appointment. If you are in the hospital or experiencing a crisis, please call his cell phone.
At the heart of any parish is the parish’s heart; which is to say, “How do we love the tender, the hurting, and vulnerable among us? How do we share the love of Christ with one another?” These questions are answered in myriad ways in this community – often in loving acts of support: listening, prayer, providing comfort or practical assistance, and by refusing to let go from our midst those members unable to participate in the fellowship of St. Margaret’s for reasons beyond their control.
St. Margaret’s maintains a prayer list that is circulated in the announcements each week. If you would like to include a person in the congregation’s prayers for the sick, the departed, or those who need to be remembered in prayer for any reason, please fill out the form.
During the service every first and third Sunday of the month, we have prayers for healing or other concerns. While the congregation sings a hymn, those who would like prayers are invited to come to the altar rail to pray with one of the clergy or lay ministers. You may offer a brief explanation of why you have come, or simply say nothing. It is not a private confession, but a request for support and prayer, and as such do know that one of the clergy may follow-up with you at a later time. This is an important ministry for St. Margaret’s: One in which our members pray for one another’s well-being. If you would like to know more about this ministry, contact Rev. Weinberg.
Rides to Church
Everyone needs a lift every now and again – and some may need it every Sunday! We want to make every effort to make sure that happens. If you need a ride to church on Sunday or to another parish event, please call the church office – (202) 232-2995. Anyone interested in providing transportation for a fellow parishioner, please fill out our form to volunteer.
