Got stuff? Give stuff.

We will be accepting donations for our annual gigantic rummage sale now through
Monday, October 20.

Call our office at 202.232.2995 to arrange a drop-off or bring items to church with you on Sunday mornings.

Jewelry donations can be given directly to our jewelry chair Rachel Dougan or our clergy, Kym Lucas or Anne Nicholson.

Charitable donation receipt available upon request.

  • Clothing for men, women, & children: clothing--clean and in ready-to-wear condition (no tears, missing buttons, stains, etc.) lightly worn shoes, accessories.
  • Housewares: Dishes, pots, pans, kitchen utensils, cutlery, flatware, vases, knick-knacks, holiday decorations, picture frames, baskets, etc.
  • Linens: Clean and in good condition sheets, blankets, pillows, comforters, tablecloths, napkins, area rugs, towels, curtains, etc.
  • Electronics: Working countertop kitchen appliances (such as blenders, toaster ovens, & bread-makers), radios, irons, clocks, hand-held power tools, CD & DVD players, lamps, fans,  etc.
  • Sporting goods: Clubs, rackets, skis, balls, helmets, etc.
  • Antiques & collectibles: China, silver, prints, etc.
  • Jewelry: Both costume and fine

Bonus points: Put your donations in sturdy shopping bags or boxes (not garbage bags) and label them ("Men's clothing," "Housewares," etc.). These small steps help our volunteers more than you can know.

WE ALSO CAN USE: Sturdy, department store-style shopping bags. As many as you've got.

We CAN'T take:

  • Books, Furniture, Desktop computers, TVs, large appliances -- if a single person can't lift it and/or it won't fit on a countertop, it's too big.
  • Broken items of any sort, electronics that don't work, clothing that needs repair, etc.

Come back and join us on sale day, Saturday, October 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shop for bargains you need or check out our boutique, jewelry, and "Tiffany" departments for treasures that delight.

All proceeds support the ministries of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, an inclusive, justice-seeking worship community that welcomes you (and you and you and you).
