PARISH PICNIC - A FAMILY AFFAIR

Sunday, June 5 - Immediately after the 11:15 a.m. Service

Plan to join us for potluck cookout, games for all ages and a great opportunity to get to know one another better.  Celebrate the last day of SundaySchool and the Centennial of our National Park Service! #FindYourPark

Location: Rock Creek Park Group Site  13. This is just downhill from the Nature Center off Military Road.  We have a covered shelter in as well as open space for activities and plenty of parking.  (Beach Drive is closed on Sundays so access is from Military Road between Nebraska Ave NW and 16th St. NW. Maps will be available in the Parish Hall the week before the picnic or you can email Dan Sealy.

Everyone can pitch in. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Table beginning May 8th.  Burgers, hot dogs and grilled vegetable main dish will be provided. We need:
  • Two grills (anyone who has one they can bring, please contact Dan ASAP)
  • 2 or more Grill Cooks
  • Condiments: mustard, mayo, relish, ketchup, hot sauce etc.
  • Side dishes, salads, desserts, snacks to share
  • Games and activities for children, teens and adults
  • Leaders for activities
  • Set Up Crew
  • Clean-up crew
