Maundy Thursday is the day in Holy Week before Easter that commemorates Jesus' last meal with his followers before the events of Good Friday.  Following that meal, in a gesture of humility and hospitality Jesus put into practice his central message of love for one another by washing his followers' feet - a model for servant or service-centered ministry. Join us at 6:30 p.m. for a simple Agape Meal (agape was the Greek word for 'love' used in the oldest Gospel accounts) followed by Holy Eucharist and the opportunity to take part in a symbolic foot-washing ceremony.  Children are welcome!  This is a celebration of the ways in which service for the sake of others binds us together as the church in which all are welcome.
