St Margaret’s organist Theodore M. Guerrant will present an hour of music remembering those whose lives were lost in the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks by Al-Qaeda at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and on United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
This year's program, the ninth, will recreate the famous recital in Leipzig which took place on August 6, 1840, when Mendelssohn played Bach organ works not heard for 100 years, and is dedicated to the Glory of God and in loving memory of the late Col. Jeffrey B Jones who served his country tirelessly both as a peacemaker and in our national defense. Donations will be accepted for Charlie’s Place and a light reception will follow in the parish hall. The public is cordially invited.
