Our Mission
Our mission is one of empowerment, to encourage community, health, and independence among men and women who are homeless or poor in Washington, DC. In following the program mission, we work with, teach, encourage, model behavior, and help people to help themselves. The agency strives to promote justice, inclusiveness and the health of all people.
Charlie's Place will continue to identify homeless individuals in need of services in the surrounding neighborhoods of Dupont Circle, Adams-Morgan, Mount Pleasant, and Columbia Heights. As we look to expand the breakfast program and related services, our primary focus is to promote the empowerment of individuals in the homeless community and awareness of homeless issues in the community abroad.
