Volunteer

Our organization depends greatly upon the generous support and kindness of people like you. It is with volunteers help and commitment that Charlie’s Place has been able to continue to fulfill our mission and service to the homeless population in the District.

Volunteering is an extremely rewarding, educational and fun activity. You can have a huge impact on the lives of homeless individuals in DC.

Volunteer’s help and assist at all levels in our program.

Breakfast Program

Help prepare, cook, serve and clean before, during, and/or after the breakfast program from 6 am to 9 am on program days.

Bread Run

Assist in the collection and distribution of donated baked goods to the breakfast program and other organizations that aid needy people.

Special Events

Assist in the coordination and preparation of materials for special events, such as the 2006 Homeless Walkathon.


Charlie’s Place encourages you to visit us at St. Margaret’s Church on any Friday morning between 7:00 am and 8:00 am to observe our program and introduce yourself and get to know us and learn about our volunteer opportunities.
