An Invitation to a Holy Lent.

The season of Lent calls us to reflect on our relationships: with ourselves, with God, with our neighbors and with our world.  Too often the focus for Lent becomes what you should give up or how much will power you have.   Lent instead offers an opportunity to focus on the places where our relationships have become twisted and distorted; it invites us to explore the depths of our hearts: our secret hopes and our darkest fears.  When we take the time for this kind of reflection, we realize once again, that even in these places of darkness, the light of Grace shines.

Lent is not a passive season, but a season of engagement.  At St. Margaret's we invite you to make the most of this sacred time.  Start out strong with the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday.  If you cannot make one of the 3 services at St. Margaret's, find a church nearby.  By setting our intentions we open ourselves to the fullness of experience.
