Clues to "The Plan"

When I feel like the world is going crazy, when humanity is showing its worse self, I often find reassurance from the Spiritual Giants I have known.  The Rt. Rev. Stephen Charleston is one of my "go-to" guys.

"I would never presume to think I could know the ultimate plan and purpose of God in creation, but I do think there are some clues that are hard to miss. Clue #1: All of the universe, from the smallest thing to the greatest, is filled with incredible  diversity. There is not just one form to reality, but endless variations. Clue #2: Change is built in. Nothing stays the same, but always evolves into something new. Clue #3: Choice is the gift given to human beings. We cannot control anything, but we can make choices that make a difference. The spiritual lesson to consider: God desires diversity, embraces change, and gives us the choice to do the same or not."
